2010　Internet　Lantern  Floating　for  Peace

We NPO Senior-net Hiroshima are based on principals of “Respect of the elder” and “Support the elder for losing necessary information” 

According to IT development, we take place computer training classes for the elder and other activities.

As citizens in Hiroshima, First, we hope consolation of victims of nuclear weapon and pray for permanent peace around the world.

Second, utilizing IT development, we receive peace messages by our website. These messages are attached to lanterns on A Bomb Memorial Day (August 6th.).

As well as people in Hiroshima, we float lanterns on the Motoyasu River.  This year’s event will be 8^th Internet Lantern Floating for Peace.

Until last year, we both accepted peace messages by our website and located computers across A Bomb Memorial Dome to receive peace messages by passers- by.

However from this year, we only accept peace messages by our website.

By pasting peace message to lanterns and float them, we could float lanterns for people who couldn’t participate the event, because they live in far away from Hiroshima.

We are looking forward to receiving peace messages from many people in many places.
